Robbert

Robbert is a very flashy solid black Friesian Gelding born in 2005 right here at The Friesian Empire & Equine Center. Robbert is a 2nd premie gelding. Over the years, Robbert has participated in many Dressage shows in the Intro and Training test Levels and scored very high in all. Robbert was foaled from a “Model” mare (Jella). Model mares are rare in the Friesian Horse world. Model mares are classified as “the best of the best” of the breed and gender. Robbert is Vjella’s brother. He was used for English and Dressage lessons. Robbert is trained to drive and is one of our carriage horses.

Leda

Leda is a solid black Friesian mare born in 2003 right here at The Friesian Empire & Equine Center. Leda is a 1st Premie, Grand Reserve Champion mare. She has been trained up to 1st level dressage. She was used for English and Dressage lessons. Leda is also trained to drive and is one of our carriage horses. She has been ridden in numerus parades around Central Ohio. Leda also spent a year as a police officer with the Columbus Mounted Unit.

Vjella

Vjella is a solid black Friesian mare born in 2006 right here at The Friesian Empire & Equine Center who loves to be around people. She is a very loving and enjoys being close to people. Vjella is Robbert’s sister and was foaled from the same “Model” mare (Jella). Model mares are rare in the Friesian Horse world. Model mares are classified as “the best of the best” of the breed and gender. Vjella has also been used for Dressage and English riding lessons. Vjella is trained to drive and is one of our carriage horses.

Roxie

Roxie is a solid black Friesian mare born in 2013. Roxie is a 1st Premie mare; Leda is her mother. She has excellent confirmation and a “showy” disposition. Roxie is the youngest horse at our farm. Roxie has been trained for Basic English riding and is trained to drive. She is one of our carriage horses. Be on the lookout as I am confident you will spot Roxie at many events around Central Ohio in the coming years.

Jose

Jose, whose show name was Micro Dot, is a solid black mini horse standing at 27”. He is fully grown and will not get any taller than he is right now. Jose was born in 2002. Jose was a show horse before he was acquired by The Friesian Empire in 2012. Jose is very friendly and loves children and other animals. He can be shy until he gets to know you but leads and responds easily to commands. His mane and tail and thick and long and you will fall in love instantly when you meet him. Together, Jose and Napoleon will make the perfect ring bearers for any wedding.

Napoleon

Napoleon is a solid white mini horse standing at 28”. He is an adult (we estimate he was born around 2004) and will not grow any taller than he is right now. He has a very sweet and inquisitive disposition. He is outgoing and loves children. Napoleon was owned by a family with many children and other pets before The Friesian Empire acquired him in 2017. We felt we needed the perfect all white mini horse to show with our all black mini horse (Jose). His mane and tail and thick and long. Together, Napoleon and Jose will make the perfect ring bearers for any wedding.

Dutch

Dutch is a solid white Percheron gelding standing 17 hands high and was born in 2002. He has a peaceful, very sweet and inquisitive disposition. We call him our big gentle giant.

He has extensive experience pulling a buggy, plowing, wagon, & carriage driving. Like most Percheron horses, Dutch is level headed. He enjoys being groomed. Dutch is trained to drive and is one of our carriage horses.

Bas

Bas is a Friesian gelding. Born July 2nd 2000. His sire, Anne 340 Sport, has a mother-line that is largely comprised of Ster/Ster Preferent and Model/Model Preferent mares. In 2000, Anne 340 Sport was the third overall at the Stallion Show.

At Bas’ inspection (Keuring), he received a 1st Premium rating and later a Ster rating – 1st Premium ratings are given to only the top 5-percent of Friesian horses at that judging event while roughly 25 to 30 percent of all Friesian horses are awarded a Ster rating. Bas has schooled 2nd level dressage.

Bas is trained to drive and is one of our carriage horses. Bas also spent almost 4 years as a police officer with the Cleveland Mounted Unit. He has been ridden in numerous parades around Central Ohio and the Cleveland areas.

Silver

Silver is a solid white thoroughbred with a double register with the APHA & Jockey Club of the United States. She was born in 2006 in Oregon. She came to us from Whispering Meadow Ranch in California where she was a therapy horse for “Horses Helping Heroes” program. This is a program dedicated to working with the military personnel from the United States Marine Corp at Camp Pendelton to allow personnel time to decompress and spend time caring for and grooming Silver and the other horses in the program. . She also was a therapy horse in California for those with disabilities and special needs. Silver has left many with fond memories and the people of this program still inquire about her to this day. She is our newest horse and is in training to drive and become a carriage horse but is trained to ride under saddle.
