Our Venue
The Friesian Empire Wedding & Events Center
Spanning approximately 48 beautifully wooded and scenic acres, our property features two serene ponds, thousands of feet of classic white four-rail vinyl fencing, and approximately 42,000 square feet of indoor entertainment space—plus extensive outdoor areas perfect for gatherings under the open sky.
Security and guest comfort are paramount. The venue is gated, with ample surveillance throughout the grounds and buildings. Upon request, we offer security patrols, valet service, and parking attendants to enhance your event experience.
We are fully equipped and permitted to host events with up to 1,888 guests indoors, while also offering more intimate settings for smaller, private occasions.
The Lounge
Designed with warmth and comfort in mind, The Lounge is a 3,870 sq ft greeting and relaxation area (74’5″ x 52′) featuring rich wood-planked walls and ceilings. Guests can unwind by the fireplace before venturing into The Old West Center or continuing on to The Grand Room. Formerly home to the farm’s smaller animals and ponies, this space now welcomes visitors into a new era of elegance and nostalgia.
The Old West Center
The Old West Town is a one-of-a-kind destination within the Friesian Empire Events Center, designed to transport guests back to the 1800s with striking authenticity and immersive charm. Spanning over 9,200 square feet, this carefully crafted space captures the spirit and character of a frontier town, complete with hand-built storefronts and museum-quality details.
Guests are greeted by the sights and sounds of a bygone era as they stroll past recreated staples of western life—an old saloon, a sheriff’s office, a jail (perfect for playful “shotgun wedding” photos), a general store, post office, and bank. Each structure has been thoughtfully designed to feel as real and lived-in as the originals, using both authentic 19th-century artifacts and historically inspired craftsmanship.
The centerpiece of the town features a real stagecoach, a chuck wagon, and a Snake Oil Salesman Buggy—complete with a quirky snake oil salesman character who adds a touch of theatrical fun. Scattered throughout are vintage wagon wheels, tumbleweeds, a windmill, and other rustic props that set the scene for unforgettable photos and unforgettable memories. Wooden benches line both sides of the street, inviting guests to sit, relax, and soak in the atmosphere. Overhead, a unique optical lighting effect simulates the passing of time—watch as day turns to night and night fades into morning, adding a layer of wonder and ambiance.
Originally the main barn of the equestrian center, this area has been transformed into a dynamic, immersive environment that many guests now describe as a living Old West museum. Whether you’re hosting a wedding, corporate event, reunion, or themed party, The Old West Town provides a truly unforgettable backdrop. It’s more than a setting—it’s a moment frozen in time, waiting to be part of your story.
The Connection
The Connection serves as the final stop before entering The Grand Room and seamlessly blends function with entertainment. Spanning 5,935 square feet (74’5″ x 79’9″), this space houses essential amenities like our Men’s and Ladies’ restrooms, Bridal and Groom suites, kitchen and food prep areas, and coat room.
But it’s more than just a transitional space—The Connection is also a place to relax, unwind, and enjoy yourself. With two pool tables and multiple wall-mounted TVs, guests can stay entertained while they wait or take a break from the main event. Whether it’s catching a game, playing a round of pool, or simply enjoying a laid-back atmosphere, The Connection offers something for everyone.
Once used for the farm’s tack rooms, feed storage, trophy displays, and vet and grooming bays, this area has been thoughtfully reimagined to provide comfort, convenience, and a little extra fun on your way to the heart of the celebration.
The Grand Room
At the heart of the Friesian Empire Events Center lies The Grand Room—a breathtaking 20,000 square foot space (100′ x 200′) that lives up to its name in every sense. Once the farm’s indoor riding arena, where majestic Friesians performed in shows and clinics, this grand hall has been transformed into a stunning venue that blends rustic charm with refined elegance.
The Grand Room features rich wood-planked walls and ceilings, two stately fireplaces, and warm, ambient lighting that sets the tone for everything from romantic weddings to upscale corporate galas. Its wide-open floor plan allows for flexible layouts, easily accommodating multiple dance floors, band stages, or lounge setups—and it’s even large enough to host two events simultaneously without sacrificing comfort or style.
Six exit and access doors offer seamless flow in and out of the space, and guests can enjoy views of the property’s scenic ponds, hay fields, and iconic white-fenced pastures. A private bar, formerly the farm’s viewing room, adds a touch of exclusivity and convenience for cocktail hours or private VIP service.

“The Chapel” Also Known As “The Little Chapel” On The Prairie
Step into a storybook setting with our lovingly crafted Wedding Chapel.Designed as a faithful reproduction of a classic 1800s chapel, this charming space brings old-world romance to life—right here on our farm. Built on skids for flexibility, we thoughtfully placed it in one of the most scenic spots on the property, nestled beside a serene pond, surrounded by lush green space and backing to a wooded landscape.
Inside, the chapel offers handcrafted benches that comfortably seat up to 16 guests, with an elevated platform for the officiant—perfect for intimate ceremonies filled with heartfelt moments. The chapel’s doors and windows swing open to invite nature in, allowing guests to be seated both inside and out, immersed in the peaceful beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Grounds & Parking
Nestled amid serene natural beauty, The Friesian Wedding & Event Center offers a breathtaking setting for any special occasion. The expansive grounds feature two tranquil ponds, lush, wooded areas, and sweeping pastures that create a peaceful and picturesque backdrop for weddings and events.
To accommodate your guests comfortably, we provide ample parking with several designated areas surfaced with asphalt millings. Our parking facilities can accommodate over 1,000 vehicles, ensuring plenty of space for even the largest gatherings. For the convenience and safety of our guests, we’ve reserved a special parking area directly west of the main hall for aging guests, individuals with disabilities, and expectant mothers.

The Outdoor Entertaining Spaces
Our outdoor spaces are designed to impress and inspire, offering a perfect blend of rustic charm and elegant detail. Surrounded by gently rolling, wooded pastures enclosed in classic four-rail white vinyl fencing, the grounds are ideal for a wide range of outdoor events—from tented weddings and private parties or family reunions to car shows and small concerts.
Guests will enjoy picturesque views of the farm’s beautiful barns, visible from various vantage points across the property. Two large ponds, each featuring peaceful fountains, add a serene touch to the landscape, while a quaint wooden bridge arching over a dry river rock bed adds both charm and a perfect photo opportunity.
For a touch of whimsy and farm spirit, a life-sized Clydesdale horse statue stands proudly in one of the pastures, making for a fun and memorable conversation piece.
